As Vice President of Human Resources, Sarah Klaas is responsible for managing talent acquisition, employee development, benefits, payroll, employee relations and compliance across the organization. Sarah focuses on solving business problems by leveraging the diverse experience and skill sets of Avtex employees and by aligning people to the right role within the organization.
Sarah has spent nearly a decade in the Human Resources field and holds degrees in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, an MBA from the University of Saint Thomas, and multiple certifications, including SHRM and PHR certifications. In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and pets, and watching baseball.
What are some words you would use to describe Avtex?
Open-door is one. At a lot of companies, you need to contact an assistant to get a meeting but here you can reach out yourself and connect with the people you have an interest in meeting with if you want to. Fluid is another good one. We listen to our employees. We have a lot of positive energy.
What makes Avtex a place you would recommend to peers and colleagues?
I like coming to work at a place where people are passionate about what they do and excited about what they do. I feel a lot of security in what we do because we have such strong relationships with our partners. Our flexibility here is also unmatched and we do a really good job of considering employees are humans who have needs and how our decisions impact them.
What insight would you share with others looking at careers within Avtex?
Avtex is flexible and open with employees so we expect the same from our employees. We want them to be open in their communication about their next steps and interests in other practice areas. Flexibility is a huge key to success. We are interested in developing our people and keeping them from being kept in a box.
