Head of Innovation
After graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Robert Church developed a keen interest in the software side of engineering and began working as a software developer for small companies and startups. Later, Rob and his business partner Noel would go on to start their own company - Aria Solutions - later acquired by Avtex. As Head of Innovation at Avtex, Rob manages the entire Innovation organization, which includes the Project Management and Software Development teams. Rob’s teams are responsible for developing the software and intellectual property that drive the Customer Experience vision and mission for Avtex. In his spare time, Rob enjoys spending time with family, skiing and being one with the great outdoors.
What brought you to Avtex?
I’ve known about Avtex for quite some time, having met the CEO George Demou at numerous industry events. George and I got to know each other pretty well over the years, and I came to realize that we shared similar passions and goals. When my company, Aria Solutions was acquired by Avtex, I decided to join the team because I knew our joint cultures, visions and technologies would bring our shared aspirations to life in new and exciting ways.
How do you plan to help Avtex deliver an exceptional customer experience?
As the CEO of Aria, I ran the entire business strategy, however my passion and expertise is really in developing software that enhances experiences for employees and customers. I plan to use my skills to consistently innovate CX for Avtex and the global marketplace.
What parts of your role at Avtex do you find yourself the most excited about?
In my new role as Head of Innovation at Avtex, I am excited to be able to focus 100% of my energy on building software and innovations that enhance the CX space. I look forward to supporting the Avtex vision and mission to deliver exceptional CX in new and creative ways.
What is most exciting to you about the future of Avtex?
There is so much going on and so much to look forward to in terms of where we can go in the customer experience space. I have seen the investments Avtex has made, Aria’s acquisition being one of them, and I am intrigued by what’s to come. The possibilities are endless for the future of this organization, and that to me is most exciting.
